The Sifuentes family started Loco Ketchup in August of 2022 with the community in mind. "We wanted to give New Rockford another option and what better way than to add some Mexican flair" said LaRae Sifuentes.. LaRae has always had a passion for cooking and when she met her husband Iram in 2014 she started learning how to make simple authentic Mexican dishes. They knew then that this was something they wanted to do. Coming up with the name was a challenge though. LaRae's father passed unexpectedly in 2020 and the previous owner had always called him Ketchup. ( He REALLY didn't like ketchup.) They knew ketchup had to be included. After the kids said we should name it the crazy cafe it just kind of clicked.
Starting out we plan to keep the original "American" menu and just adding a few key items but hopefully can get more options as we grow and learn. The Mexican options we do have now are our own family recipes that we have perfected.
At the end of the day there is nothing better than small town communities. The love and support that they bring is unmatched to any big city. Being from New Rockford LaRae really wanted to add to the town and give everyone more options while supporting other local businesses.
